About Pastor Alan...
Alan Rogers is a native of Hixson and a graduate of Hixson High School, the University of Tennesee at Chattanooga (B.A. in Communications) and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div. in Systematic Theology). Before coming to New Salem in August of 2009, Alan previously served churches in Chickamauga, Georgia, and Lynchburg, Virginia. Alan also enjoyed a fourteen year career in Christian broadcasting, including stints as program director of WBSN-FM in New Orleans and promotions director for the Spirit FM radio network in Virginia. Alan and his wife Melody have four children, and make their home in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee.
When you visit New Salem's worship services, please make a point to introduce yourself! Pastor Alan usually can be found after each service greeting guests in the foyer of New Salem's sanctuary.
